Project (04.05.2017.)

KUS is launching the project "Tradition in the Objective". These are workshops of video documentary directed by a media artist and photographer Rino Efendić. The first part will be theoretically, in the Gallery Sikirica Efendić will introduce the participants through the lectures to the history of the media with an emphasis on new media from the 60s of the last century to the present and to review the history of works of the most important international and domestic media artists. In the second part, the participants will in practice carry out works under professional guidance on free and fixed topics in practice.
Topics will be held in cooperation with the Sinj Tourist Board and the Cetina Krajina Museum, which are partners in the project. By using the visual anthropology methods, the participants will record short video clips in which they will record traditional crafts (making clothes and shoes, everyday items, etc.) The workshops are free and funds are provided by the Ministry of Culture of Croatia, KUS and TZ Sinja. The workshops will be held on weekends starting from 26 May to 1 July this year. The participants will be negotiating with the manager according to their free time.
